Yonnette is a Senior Associate with the U.S. Program at Americares. Her primary responsibility is partnership management. In this role, Yonnette manages relationships with partners throughout the nation and processes orders. Prior to joining the U.S. team, Yonnette served within the Emergency Response team at Americares where she responded to over 50 disasters including Hurricane Sandy and the West Africa Ebola Crisis. She also deployed for disaster relief planning after the Illinois tornadoes in 2014 and to Nepal in 2015 after the massive earthquake.
Yonnette earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Anthropology from Depauw University in Indiana. During that time, she was active in Depauw's Civic and Community Engagement Program, serving as the Campus-Community Liason for the A-Way Home Shelter, a Reading Coach for America Reads and participated in Depauw's Alternative Fall and Spring Break Service Program including trips to Tupelo and Biloxi, Mississippi for restoration during the ongoing Hurricane Katrina recovery. While at Depauw, Yonnette became and Emergency Response Technitian (EMT-B) and volunteered with the Putnam County Operation Life Ambulance which served all of Putnam County, Indiana.
