About the Program

Americares has partnered with Vecna Cares in the development of a fully customized pharmacy inventory software program designed specifically for free and charitable clinics. The software will enable the above clinics to manage in-clinic prescription dispensing as well as control the inventorying of their medications and health care supplies. The software will also offer standard pharmacy workflow options to improve protocols and procedures related to prescription dispensing.

This new software will allow clinics to:

  • Generate real-time and operational reports on pharmaceutical data and pharmacy activity
  • Automatically flag expired medication
  • Track information such as lot and NDC numbers
  • Complete patient-based pharmacy visit reporting
  • Generate a list of patients that received recalled medication
  • Track drug dispensing related to specific disease states
  • Autofill received Americares product donations - no manual input!
  • Readily search for and input all donated and procured medicines

Additional Program Benefits

Benefits of the program include, but are not limited to, a  free two-year subscription to the inventory management module, training on the adoption and usage of the module via webinar, a tablet for clinics to keep to support the capture of inventory data within the pharmacy or dispensary, and $300 in gas cards per clinic to serve as staff and volunteer incentives.
